February 2010

Panto 2010

This was a wonderful, colourful production.

Most performances were sold out and we made a profit of well over £800.

As usual the last few weeks of rehearsals were hectic but even blizzards did not put us off!

For this production we welcomed newcomer (to us) Michael Johnson as accompanist/musical director.

We have received a glowing NODA report and several very positive write ups/letters in the local rag.

We even had a visit from the NODA National President.

Every one performed wonderfully and special thanks to Jason for understudying Nick Moon whilst he was off having his knee operation.

He (Nick) recovered well from this and was on stage for the final performance.

As some of you may be aware, Pam Britton had an accident on stage but fortunately she didn’t damage the scenery too much- and Pam has recovered well and was back on stage on Thursday despite a number of stitches in a nasty head wound.

Despite ALL of this the Panto was great and well done Sue Beck and Geoff Baker.
